Turn $12 to $1,200.

Create financial freedom by learning to manage your money better.

"Keep more of what you make, you made it!"

The 1200 project is our mission to help 1200 people in 2025 build their first emergency fund, pay off one major debt or begin their journey into investing through education, encouragment and accountability.

Make 2025 the year you
WIN financially

Did you know that nearly 56% of U.S. adults can't afford a $1,000 emergency? Or that 37% can't afford a $400 'surprise' without going further in debt to cover it?

Maybe you're not from America and instead you're one of the 51% of Canadians or 46% of British, that similarly can't deal with a surprise $1,000 expense without being forced into overtime or credit card loans.

Globally most people are just one flat tire away from debt and disaster.

This is an extremely risky life!

If a loved one got sick, the heater went out in winter, your landlord violated your rights, or the bank called all of your loans, it's hard to protect yourself if you're not prepared financially.

That’s not all though, living one emergency away from disaster means you can’t cease the life changing opportunities meant for you.

If I could transfer only one thing into you in this moment, its the feeling of security that makes taking risks, or walking away feel much easier.

We live in a global financial system that thrives on people NOT knowing what to do financially. It benefits the banks, your employer, the shopping centers, major corporations but never YOU.

And while its not your fault that you weren't given the tools of financial education, it certainly is your responsibility to change it if anything is going to change.

If you're ready to make that change, then read on...

this:

It doesn't have to continue like

"WHERE IS ALL MY MONEY GOING?"
after another long, hard, month of work.

Lost and confused about how to even begin building a financial safety net.

Stressing out when something that "looks like a bill" shows up at your door.

Spending without any plan, and just letting things figure themselves out.

Wondering "HOW AM I BACK IN DEBT?" or always paying something off.

Intimidated to read finance books, and having no one  nearby to speak with.

Your financial situation isn't going to 'fix' itself.

Here's the ugly truth ; Things don't change until we change them.

And the longer you leave your head buried in the sand, the worse it's going to get.

Getting older begins to expose the mistakes we made in very punishing ways. Consider this statistic :

25

years ago,

1

in

10

people over 65 years old worked

in

5

1

,

,

Today

people over 65 years old work.

And it's not slowing down...

Do you really  want to spend your golden years commuting to and from the office at peak traffic hours?

Or worrying about credit card payments, loan payments and money slipping through your fingers?

How about dealing with complaints from your boss, bad attitudes from your co-workers and returning home to deal with financial struggles in your family...

...for the next 40 years?

You know the cliche' :

"If you invested $50 a month starting at 18 years old,
you'd have a
bajillion dollars at 65.5".

The most difficult part of learning personal finance is realizing just how much ignorance has costed you.

  • You could have taken that dream vacation by now.

  • You could have saved for a down payment on a house.

  • You could have tried that business you've always dreamed of.

  • You could have moved to a different state or country like you wanted.

I'm still pained to know that I could have been retired by now if I had this knowledge just a couple years ago.

The tragedy isn't that most people do not start investing at 18.

The tragedy is that most people don't even know how to safely use credit, do a budget or prepare emergency funds and plan ahead for life's problems.

Most people are trapped.

And the biggest tragedy...

Is that it's not difficult to learn better habits and give yourself a future that you choose rather than a future you MUST participate in to keep the lights on.

It's a huge lie that learning about personal finance is complicated. This is usually spouted by people who themselves have given up.

If you can spare 10 seconds to read below, I'll tell you what it takes to win with money for the rest of your life....

90% Behavior, 8% interest in improving with money, 2% knowledge of financial systems

Is it really that simple? Yes

Then why isn't everyone doing well financially?
It's because of the "Great Trap".

We've been fed a lie that we need to learn complicated stock trading, or build a world changing business to earn a bajillion dollars to be financially free.

It works so well because it's fed to us on both ends. People who work in finance want building wealth to sound complicated, to sell us expensive advice. People who don't have money want it to sound complicated so we can understand why they're not doing well.

But as the saying goes, the truth is always boring and slow.

It's as simple as learning how to manage your finances better so you spend less than you make, putting your money in the correct places to protect yourself and having a support system around you to reinforce the good habits until they become second nature.

Bonus points if your support system is continually improving their knowledge of financial stewardship, because you get the gift of having a shared vision and learning from shared wisdom, which is the most powerful thing you can have when building new habits.

Turn your $12 into $1,200.

If I were to tell you that this is potentially the highest Return on Investment that you can have in your lifetime, would you believe me?

You'd think I'm crazy and trying to sell you something, but let me show you the objective truth.

If you spend $10 and read information about how to save $20 on your next grocery trip, you've doubled your investment after your first trip to the grocery. It's purely profit for every subsequent grocery trip for the rest of your life.

That initial $10 investment, has benefited you for the rest of your life. And that isn't even a fraction of what the community has to offer.

Here's what we're trying to accomplish in 2025 and what you can get out of it
I want to help 1,200 people :

Add an additional $1,000 in their savings account or $1,000 of debt down.

Invest their first $1,000 dollars.

Save their first starter 'Emergency Fund'.

Have 'extra' money left over at the end of the month.

Pay off 1 or more pesky credit card debts.

Develop a habit of budgeting and saving consistently.

Read and understand their first finance book.

Heal their relationship to spending and keeping money.

Stick to their financial plan for the first time in their life.

Have a space where they're encouraged to talk about money and drop the  'money is taboo' mindset.

Untie their self worth from their finances.

Learn about personal finance via our monthly'Finance Book Club.'

But is this even right for you?

You understand Personal Finance and you can diligently follow a budget. If you know what a H.Y.S.A is, know your 'Burn Rate' or have a FIRE number, you're welcomed to join, but you're too advanced for this community.

You expect to learn like a classroom, rather than interact with members and change your behaviours around budgeting.

You're looking for investment advice. This is not a Financial Advisory Community, this is a Budgeting and Savings community.

You expect saving to somehow increase your income. You're limited to what you earn, we can help you keep more of it, but definitely cannot earn you more money.

Do you want to get rid of those
'black shadows' around your financial future?
